Omeruo could be on his way out of Chelsea as newly promoted Turkish club Goztepe put in bid for him

SUPER Eagles centreback Kenneth Omeruo could be on his way out of Chelsea during the current transfer window after newly-promoted Turkish clubside Goztepe stepped up its interest in the player.

Omeruo, 23, joined Chelsea from Standard Liege in January 2012 but he has failed to make a single first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge. He has been loaned out four times with his latest spell being with Turkish side Alanyaspor, where he made 26 Super Lig appearances and scored one goal.

That was his second spell in Turkey after previously spending time on loan at Kasimpasa. Omeruo has two years remaining on his contract at Chelsea but securing first-team action at the club seems very unlikely.

Goztepe are interested in offering him the chance to secure regular first-team football and are believed to have made an offer for his services. At the moment, the newly-promoted side are said to be in a race alongside Sivasspor to sign the centre-back but Goztepe appear to be the frontrunners with their offer being more attractive.
