Victor Moses could return to Chelsea in January as Fernebache look to offload him

FORMER Super Eagles winger Victor Moses is due to return to Chelsea during the January transfer window as Turkish giants Fernebahce have decided to send him back to his parent club due to a loss of form.

Moses, 28, joined Fernebahce on loan during the last January transfer window after he got frozen out at Chelsea and since going to Turkey he saw his career rejuvenated. Pleased with his performances, Fernebahce were looking to make the deal permanent and offered €5m for the player but this was way below Chelsea's asking price.

At the time, Moses was signed on loan until May 31, 2020 but since then, things have changed as following an injury, the winger has suffered a loss in form. Moses started this season in fine form, scoring and providing an assist in the league opener against Gaziantep but of late, he has gone off the boil

Since his return from a muscle injury last month, the winger has not contributed any goal in three starts. Fernebahce are now in the market for a winger ahead of the reopening of the transfer window, so are looking to offload Moses as part of the deal.

Produced by southeast London side Crystal Palace, Moses played for the club between 2007 and 2010 after coming through their youth ranks, from where he joined Wigan Athletic before signing for Chelsea for £9m from in the summer of 2012. Last year, palace wanted to buy him back for about £12m but it appears the two sides were unable to reach a deal.
