Tonto Dikeh expressed delight that Pastor Fatoyinbo won his case against Busola Dakolo

CONTROVERSIAL Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has expressed delight at the recent victory Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (Coza) founder Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo secured in an Abuja high court which cleared him of rape allegations.

In July, Pastor Fatoyinbo was accused by Busola Dakolo, the wife of musician Timi Dakolo, of raping her in Ilorin years ago. Media attention the case has attracted forced Pastor Fatoyinbo to stand down as Coza's general overseer but he has since resumed preaching while the legal battle raged.

Yesterday, a Federal Capital Territory high court sitting at Bwari, dismissed the case filed by Mrs Dakolo and awarded costs of N1m ($2,750) against her. In her ruling, Justice Oathman Musa held that the matter amounts to injustice and an abuse of judicial process, pointing out that the case is empty and purely sentimental.

Expressing delight at the way the case ended, Ms Dikeh posted a picture of Pastor Fatoyinbo on her Instagram page and simply said “Glory!”

In response to Mrs Dakolo's claim that he raped her 20 years ago when she was 16 years in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, pastor Fatoyinbo filed an objection and an affidavit, saying Busola’s statements were false and concocted to embarrass, scandalise and ridicule him. He argued that from the inception, she sought the attention of the media and press.
