Iwobi will be missing again this weekend for Everton when they travel to West Ham

SUPER Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi will remain missing from action this weekend as Everton have revealed that he will miss the trip to West Ham tomorrow because he is yet to recover from his nagging hamstring injury.

Iwobi, 23, has been missing in action since December 21 when he limped off injured 15 minutes in a match against his old club Arsenal at Goodison Park. Everton were hoping to have him back by now, as he was expected to be out for between two and three weeks but manager Carlos Ancelotti has acknowledged that such hopes were a little too optimistic.

Mr Ancelotti confirmed that Iwobi not be travelling to the London Stadium as he will not be back to full training until next week.  Iwobi has already begin individual training but has not been part of the team, so will remain on the sidelines for now.

"Alex Iwobi will not be ready for the match. I think next week he will be able to train with us," Mr Ancelotti added.

So far this season, Iwobi has missed approximately a quarter of the games played by Everton in all competitions. This adds up to seven in total, including the five when he was unavailable for selection due to his hamstring injury.
