Military aircraft enroute to Minna crashes in Abuja killing all onboard after reporting engine failure

FEARS are growing that Nigeria may have witnesses another tragedy involving dozens of deaths after a chartered aircraft believed to be carrying military personnel crashed in Abuja this morning killing everyone on board.

According to Nigeria's aviation minister Senator Hadi Sirika the King Air 350 plane was chartered by the Nigerian military and crashed this morning near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. apparently the plane was said to be enroute to Minna, the Niger State capital.

One eyewitness disclosed that the flight would have crashed into a residential area but the pilot manoeuvred the aircraft into a nearby bush. It is believed that there were at least six people on board the aircraft manufactured by Boeing.

Senator Sirika said: “A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna and it appears to be fatal. We should remain calm and wait for the outcome of investigations by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
