Is Bola Tinubu aware of the fact that for starters, the Nigerian military is actually dominated by Middle Belt Christians. Nigeria’s Army is about 70% Christian.

More importantly, is he aware of the fact that something like a third of the population of northern Nigeria is Christian. Northern states with predominantly Christian populations include Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa and Taraba.

Christians are between 40% and 50% of the populations in Kwara, Adamawa and Kaduna states too. If Tinubu had picked a Northern Christian as his running mate, he would have swept these votes in all these states and coasted into Aso Rock with a landslide victory.

Clearly age is starting to tell on the old war horse as he is starting to lose it. Jagaban lost the plot big time here, bungling what should have been a straightforward decision to make.

One of the features of Buhari’s eight years in office was that he had no idea what wad going on and was living in the past. If Tinubu wins,  we may be in for more of the same.
