High commissioner to the UK Ambassador Oguntade to attend Canuk's summer ball next month

NIGERIAN high commissioner to the UK Justice George Oguntade has announced plans to step up his ongoing meetings with the community by attending the Central Association of Nigerians in the UK's (Canuk) summer ball taking place on May 5.

 

Organised by Canuk, to emphasise that it is standing against modern day slavery and human trafficking, the gala dinner will take place at Emerald Place, Jubilee House in Romford, the gala dinner will include a red carpet and Champagne reception. Starting at 6pm, the event, whose dress code shall be black tie or traditional wear, will involve a three course meal, entertainment and comedy.

 

Canuk chairman Dr Boma Douglas, said: "Plans are taking hold and this spring ball taking place on Saturday May 5 promises to be an exceptional event. We will also be welcoming the Nigerian high commissioner to the UK, Ambassador George Oguntade CFR CON at this event."

 

Over recent weeks, Justice Oguntade has embarked on a tour of the regions to meet with Nigerians in the UK, holding town hall meetings with several communities. He has visited cities like Glasgow and Manchester and plans to do more of these visits over the coming months.
