Nigeria’s cabinet should declare 2024 the National Year of Manufacturing with ambitions to boost industrial output

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Anywhere you go on planet earth, Africans are regarded as inferior beings. It is no accident this happens because when you account for 18% of the world’s population but only 1% of its industrial output, you are inviting people to insult you

[2] We are considered a burden and parasitic leaches by industrialised countries. Make no mistake about it, this will continue for as long as we remain an eternal consumer producing nothing

If I was in President Tinubu’s shoes, I would appoint a minister of state for futuristic thinking whose mandate would be to think the unthinkable

By Ayo Akinfe

[1] By 2050, Nigeria will be the third most populous nation on earth and I take the view that there are certain things man tried to do but has not quite achieved and Nigeria should be the one to get us over the finishing line. Providing adequate rural food transportation and storage facilities has got to become one the main tasks of Nigeria’s state governors

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Nothing stifles a nation’s economic development as much as a lack of coherent policy. Contrary to what many Nigerians think, the total lack of understandable, consistent, logical and coherent government economic policy is the main reason behind our under-development as a nation and not corruption. Even if you totally eliminate corruption, you still need to invest the proceeds for it to make any difference in people’s lives
