Interior minister promises to overhaul passport regime with fully biometric structure

INTERIOR minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has revealed that his ministry intends to overhaul Nigeria's current passport issuance regime and introduce a structure whereby a fully biometric application structure is introduced cutting out lengthy queues at centres.

[1] There are currently about 9m unemployed people in Nigeria. Between 4% and 5% of the population are without jobs. Most these are youths not trained or educated and lack the skills required in a modern economy

[2] Countries like Brazil and South Africa have successfully introduced public works programmes of late, soaking up millions of unemployed youths. Nigeria needs a similar sort of programme if she is to address her unemployed crisis

NFF queries Peseiro for inviting Aribo and other inactive players to camp for World Cup qualifiers

Nigerian senate to begin debating bill on diaspora voting next week as part of constitutional review

NIGERIA'S senate is to begin discussing a bill that will grant diasporans voting rights later this week as part of the ongoing review of the 1999 constitution according to the senate majority leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.
