I sincerely hope that all these presidential candidates coming to Chatham House this week will unveil a comprehensive Nigerian healthcare plan as part of their manifestos

[1] Elected officials and the members of their immediate families are barred from going overseas for medical treatment

[2] Exceptions may be made in the cases of rare specialist care. In such cases, affected officials need to write to the National Assembly seeking permission for such trips

[3] Any public official who needs specialist overseas care more than once during a four year tenure must vacate their office

[1] Buying private jets when we do not have an aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) in Nigeria is just an act of economic sabotage as all is does is drain foreign exchange and enrich foreign aircraft manufacturers 

[2] Buying generators when you could install solar panels on your roof is not only economically damaging but an environmental crime
