Our banditry problems in the northwest could be addressed with the introduction of a Nigerian Textile Industry Resuscitation Bill that will employ millions of youths

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Cotton production is to be expanded to match Pakistan’s 2.3m tonnes through the provision of single digit loans and hybrid seedlings to farmers. Nigeria currently produces only 105,000 tonnes which is not enough to sustain a local manufacturing industry

[1] Are we actually aware of the fact that abula is such a tasty and healthy meal and if well marketed, people would be falling over each other to get a taste of this wonderful delicacy. Why do we not have standard abula packages on sale for £4.99

Ayo Akinfe

[1] This new Federal Ministry of Coastal Affairs should be given oversight for the Lagos to Calabar railway line. It should be a high speed rail link that runs at about 250km an hour

[2] One other big task this ministry should have is that a six lane motorway should also be built along Nigeria’s 853km coastline. It should be pot hole-free and tolled to cover its costs

As we celebrate 65 years of independence later this year, we need to launch a Nigeria Pulling Her Weight Globally campaign that would see us stop being a parasitic and dependent nation

Ayo Akinfe

[1] For me this is a very straightforward matter. Nigeria accounts for 2.5% of the world’s population, so should account for 2.5% of global industrial output

[2] One in 40 humans is Nigerian, so one in every 40 industrial goods should be manufactured in Nigeria

[3] This means that one in every 40 automobiles out there should be made in Nigeria

[4] One in every aircraft in the sky should be manufactured in Nigeria
