No matter how much I wrack my brains over this matter, I keep coming back to the conclusion that what we desperately need is an Aso Rock Policy Unit created to deal with the menace of low productivity

Ayo Akinfe

[1] We can argue about Nigeria's problems until kingdom but the fact remains that we are simply not productive enough. That is the root cause of all our problems as a nation and nowhere is more manifest than in the fact that manufacturing only accounts for about 7% of gross domestic product (GDP)

Is there anything stopping Nigeria from packaging and marketing abula globally the way say the Italians have done with pizzas and as the Turks have done with kebabs

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Are we actually aware of the fact that abula is such a tasty and healthy meal and if well marketed, people would be falling over each other to get a taste of this wonderful delicacy. Why do we not have standard abula packages on sale for £4.99

We keep hearing Nyesom Wike's name so much I wonder if all his energy could not be put to better use by renaming our Niger Delta ministry the Ministry of Coastal Affairs and putting him in charge with a mandate to activate Nigeria's Atlantic seaboard

Ayo Akinfe

[1] This new Federal Ministry of Coastal Affairs should be given oversight for the Lagos to Calabar railway line. It should be a high speed rail link that runs at about 250km an hour

[2] One other big task this ministry should have is that a six lane motorway should also be built along Nigeria’s 853km coastline. It should be pot hole-free and tolled to cover its costs
