[1] Growing up as kids, we were all told to make new year resolutions. I wonder why this does not extend to national and developmental matters. Every end of year, the Nigerian president presents a budget to the National Assembly but Nigerians are generally too busy engrossed in the festive spirit to even notice it.

OYO State is poised to get a sharia court next year after the Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria announced that it will be opening such a facility in January in the ancient city of Oyo making it the first in the south of Nigeria.
