Nigeria records first coronavirus death as former PPMC boss returns from UK and passes on

NIGERIA has recorded her first death from the dreaded coronavirus after the former managing director of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) Suleiman Achimugu died yesterday having brought the virus back from the UK.

LAGOS State health officials are keeping a close watch on about 1,300 people to see if they show any signs of having the dreaded coronavirus as part of a programme to ensure that the virus does not spread across the country.

Enugu State releases N330m for public awareness campaign against coronavirus and upgrades isolation centre

ENUGU State has taken the lead in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria by approving the sum of N330m ($896,005) to fight any outbreak and relocating its isolation centre to the Enugu State University Teaching (Esut) Hospital.
