This was in response to Italy’s murderous conduct during the Second Italo-Abyssinian War that began on 3 October 1935. Italy used mustard gas against the Ethiopians
(2) It was also on this day in 1914 that Mahatma Gandhi's was first arrested after campaigning for Indian rights in South Africa
