GOVERNOR Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has vowed to arrest and prosecute parents who fail to send their children to school in the state because begging is un-Islamic and those who allow their wards to engage in it are contravening the koran's teaching.

Ilaje youths barricade Governor Akeredolu in his office as they protest the neglect of their community

ONDO State's Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has been barricaded in his office by youths from Local Government Area of the state who are protesting his neglect of the oil-producing region.

 

Ilaje is one of the two local governments in Ondo State that is oil-producing but despite being cash cow  that generates millions of dollars for the economy. As a result, the youths from the area protested the alleged diversion of funds meant for the region by the governors' administration.
