Military commanders asked to relocate to Sokoto as bandits seize armoured personnel carrier

MINISTER of state for defence Dr Bello Matawalle has urged senior military commanders of the Nigerian Army to relocate their offices to Sokoto to enable them effectively combat the growing menace of armed banditry across northwestern Nigeria.

British Home Office to scrap biometric residence cards for Nigerians and replace them with eVisas

[1] My government will be holding an immediate summit with all of Nigeria’s 36 state governors where we will tell them that as from October 1 2025, we plan to initiate the scrapping of the federal allocation regime. They should thus launch plans to get their states self-reliant

[2] With immediate effect, my administration will scrap government subsidies on all religious pilgrimages. If you want to go to Saudi Arabia or Israel, you are on your own
