As President Buhari heads to Saudi Arabia and Bishop Oyedepo fixes roads, we need to appreciate the fact Nigeria’s faith industry has more liquidity than the government

(1) President Muhammadu Buhari has headed off to Saudi Arabia again. I sincerely hope he strikes several deals on Islamic Finance there and comes back with firm agreements to invest in our infrastructure as we currently see in Malaysia, Dubai, Indonesia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. In all these countries, Islamic Finance is being used to fund the construction of railway networks, shopping malls, skyscrapers and hotel complexes just to mention a few things

I am disappointed that the recent agreement with Russia did not include a deal on fishing and seafood products

(1) Last week, Nigeria and Russia agreed on a bilateral pact that covered a whole range of areas. These included steel production, railway construction, military training, the supply of 12 attack helicopters and power supply. It is a good start.
