ENGLISH Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Nigeria and Gent striker Gift Orban as a replacement for England skipper who may be leaving to join Bayern Munich this summer.
Orban, 21, has become one of the most sought-after striker in Europe of late after a breakthrough season with Genk that saw him registered 20 goals in 22 appearances. Spurs are now seriously considering signing him as a replacement for their talisman Kane, who is expected to move to Germany soon.
Kane, 30, has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich since the start of transfer window. Ange Postecoglou’s side, who finished a distant eighth position in the English Premier League last campaign are reported to have made a list of their possible replacement for the Englishman.
Tottenham have identified Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson as their primary target to replace Harry Kane but manager Steve Cooper does not want to sell Johnson and this might push the London club to turn their attention toward Orban, who has been identified has another target. Orban has been attracting suitors from Europe and Saudi Arabia after an impressive season in Belgium.
Orban has continued from where he left last season, scoring in Genk's friendly games and was also target to his club claimed a 5-1 first leg advantage in the Europa Conference League. He then opened his Belgian Pro League account with a goal in Gent’s 3-2 victory over KV Kortrijk.
