ENGLISH Premier League side Fulham have rejected two bids for Nigeria-eligible central defender Tosin Adarabioyo turning down one from London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs and recently rejecting another from French League One side Monaco.
Adarabioyo , 25, is currently a highly sought-after defender with several clubs in the race to sign him before the closure of the current transfer window in two weeks time. Frank Trimboli, the agent mandated by Fulham to negotiate the transfer of the Manchester-born defender, is doing everything possible to facilitate a sale to Spurs rather than to Monaco.
However, apparently, Tosin has insisted that he cannot be forced to join Spurs against his wishes and is angling for a move to Monaco. According to The Athletic UK, Fulham have recently turned down Monaco's latest bid of €10m bid for Adarabioyo.
Earlier on in the summer, Monaco had submitted a €7m bid for Tosin but it was deemed insufficient by Fulham. Monaco need a right-footed centre back having sold Axel Disasi to Chelsea this summer and have identified the Fulham defender as an ideal replacement
Tosin has entered the last year of his contract with Fulham and he is not willing to extend his stay at Craven Cottage. Adarabioyo, who made 25 appearances in the Premier League for Fulham last season, scoring one goal, was not named in last weekend's matchday squad when the Cottagers beat Everton due to the speculation surrounding his future.
