ENGLISH Premier league side Crystal Palace have extended the loan deal of former Golden Eaglets leftback Kelvin Agho with Serbian side Voždovac for the duration of the 2023/24 season as part of their plan to ensure his continued development.
Agbo, 19, was a key member of the Future Eagles squad to the 2019 International Dream Cup and that same year, he trained with the Golden Eaglets ahead of the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup. A product of IB Sports Dreams Football Club, Agho also turned out for fellow Abuja based academy Hypebuzz Academy prior to joining south London side Crystal Palace in the summer of 2022.
Upon joining Palace, Agho was sent out on loan to Slovalian clubside STK 1914 Šamorín where he spent the whole of last season. He will now continue his development at the Serbian Superliga club for the 2023/24 season.
Agho offers versatility in a variety of positions as he is comfortable playing as a marauding left-back, left midfielder and left-sided central defender. His contract at Crystal Palace will keep him at Selhurst Park until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Under Fifa rules, Agho's transfer to Voždovac is subject to the issuance of an International Transfer Certificate. After seven matches in the Serbian Superliga, Agho's new employers Voždovac are fourth in the table with 12 points ahead of their trip to Spartak Subotica this Friday.
