ENGLISH Premier League side Fulham have set their sights on Super Eagles striker Gift Orban with a view to purchasing him from Belgian side Gent during the forthcoming January transfer window.
Orban, who made the move from Norway to Gent during the last winter transfer window, has not replicated his impressive form from the previous season. Last season, Orban delighted Belgian football fans with 15 domestic league goals in just 16 appearances and an additional five goals in the Europa Conference League.
However, this season has seen him struggle to match those performances, with a recent goal drought of nine games ending in Gent’s 5-0 victory over Breidablik. Despite his current form, reports from Belgian media outlets suggest that Fulham is eager to help him realise his Premier League dreams in the upcoming transfer window.
For now, Orban is under contract with Gent until 2027 and there has been previous interest from prominent European clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, who once considered him as a replacement for Harry Kane. With Orban available for transfer, Fulham may face competition from other European clubs vying for his signature.
