SOUTHERN African airline Taag Angola Airlines is to start a daily flight service to Nigeria with journeys between Luanda and Lagos starting from January 8 as part of a plan to enhance continental travel and connectivity.
Currently, the Luanda to Lagos route has five weekly frequencies, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday operated by Boeing 737-700 aircraft, with 120 passengers’ total capacity. This is now going to be upgraded into a daily service in the new year as Taag Angola seeks to cash in on the lucrative Nigerian market.
A positive impact on trade and people mobility between Angola and Nigeria is expected while Luanda is reinforcing its status as an important hub for regional and international connections.. Recently, Taag Angola Airlines has been upgrading the network, leveraging the connectivity to regional routes.
New destinations it has been flying to include São Tomé Island, Windhoek (Namibia), Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo) and Maputo (Mozambique). Furthermore, the airline restated its commitment to provide quality and convenient services to customers, positioning Angola as a preferred hub for regional and intercontinental connections.
