SUPER Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro will have his compliment of players available for selection ahead of Saturday's Round of 16 clash with Cameroon in the ongoing African Cup of Nations after William Ekong and Alhassan Yusuf both returned to full training.
Skipper Ekong, 30, who scored in the 1-0 win over Ivory Coast suffered a hamstring injury in that match and had to sit out the last group game against Guinea-Bissau. Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who plays for Royal Antwerp in Belgium, suffered a knock in the opening game against Equatorial Guinea and missed the last two group matches.
Over the last few days, both players had been training alone but now, they have recovered from their knocks and have joined the full squad. Their return raises hopes for the squad as its gear up for the first game of the knockout stage in what promises to be an intense encounter against Cameroon who just managed to scrape through from their group.
Cameroon have had some good news of their own too as over the last 48 hours, star striker and skipper Vincent Aboubakar and midfielder Clinton Njie, have both made a full recoveries from recent injuries. Coach Rigobert Song will be particularly happy about the return of Aboubakar, who has been absent for 10 days, severely limiting the team's firepower in front of goal.
