RCCG instructs its members to carry out pre-marital virginity examinations on potential spouses

EVANGELICAL  mission the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has directed all of its members intending to get married to carry our pre-marital examinations on their spouses to guarantee they are virginal.

One of the world's biggest church groups, RCCG is a pentecostal mega church and denomination founded in Lagos headed by Pastor Enoch Adeboye. As of March 2017, RCCG had a presence in 196 countries worldwide and its Lagos church reported to be the largest in the world has an average attendance of 50,000.

In a dramatic and unprecedented move, the church has issued a directive to all its members to check the sex status of potential spouses. A church statement issued by  assistant general overseer Pastor Johnson Odesola called on all RCCG members to visit a public hospital before getting married to have future partners examined.

Pastor Odesola said: "The mission authority has  observed the recurrence of cases of marital crises resulting from falsehood, especially in the cases of undeclared or unconfessed reproductive/ genital status. We have the directive of the general overseer to instruct all the missions' outposts that forthwith, pre-marital medical examinations for intending couples should also include genital tests.

"Further, provinces are requested to register with particular trusted government approved hospitals for the various pre-marital examinations for intending couples. Remain blessed in this season of songs of victory in Jesus name."

RCCG is regarded as one of the world's most vigorously expansionary religious movements, RCCG is a home-grown pentecostal denomination that is crusading to become a global faith. Its general overseer Pastor Adeboye,  preaches that in the future, every household in the world will have at least one of his members.
