Man United offer Napoli cash plus striker Rasmus Hojlund in exchange for Osimhen

MANCHESTER United have offered Italian giants striker Rasmus Hojlund along with a sum said to be substantial in exchange for Victor Osimhen in what looks like a desperate bid to bring the Super Eagles front man to the English Premier League.

Osimhen, 25, is one of the most wanted strikers in world football today and has repeatedly said he wants to leave Napoli after three seasons with them. Last season, he scored 17 goals and apart fro0m winning the 2023 African Footballer of the Year Award, Osimhen won the Italian league with Napoli in the 2022/23 season, won the league golden boot and came eighth in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

Several clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal said to be at forefront of the race to sign Osimhen at the moment as talks with PSG appear to  have cooled lately. Hojlund joined Manchester United last season and had a decent debut campaign under Erik Ten Haag, so ideally, the club would not want to let him go but it appears they are desperate for success.

Napoli have made their mind up about Osimhen’s departure, however the destination of the Super Eagles striker is still being discussed. While a swap deal is welcome by the Italians, their new coach, Antonio Conte is keen on bringing Romelu Lukaku to the club.

Man United have also held talks with Bologna striker, Joshua Orobosa Zirkzee and the results have been positive. It is believed that Bologna are willing to part ways with the Dutch forward if they get an offer of around €45m.
