ALL Progressive Congress (APC) stalwart Senator Ifeanyi Ubah the lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District has suddenly passed away at his London hotel where he checked into just two days ago.
Senator Ubah, 52, was the chief executive of Capital Oil, which he founded in 2001, a company with one of the largest petroleum products tank farms, storage and distribution facilities in Lagos. He was also the founder of The Authority Newspaper and the owner of Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club in Anambra State.
Only two days ago, Senator Ubah left Nigeria for the UK, looking very hale and hearty, making his death all the more shocking. Senator Ubah, who joined the ruling All APC last year, was billed to seek the party’s gubernatorial ticket ahead of the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election.
Only two days ago his campaign council donated a whooping ₦71m to the APC in Anambra State to bolster the party's presence and strength ahead of the 2025 governorship elections. His death comes just few days after the passing of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo president Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, another Igbo business mogul and former owner of a football club.
