With 2025 set to be upon us any moment from now, would you not just love it if President Tinubu's new year's message involved the unveiling of this 10-point plan

[1] Before the end of 2025, we will abolish the federal allocation regime compelling all 36 states to generate their own revenue

[2] This year, we will give the Nigerian military an ultimatum to wipe out Boko Haram, Iswap, Lakurawa and all other terrorist and banditry organisations operating in the country. They must also make kidnapping and abductions a thing of the past

[3] Before the end of the year, we will get every single cattle herdsman in the country operating from a dedicated and secure animal ranch

[4] We will get private investors running the Ajaokuta, Oshogbo and Aladja steel plants with a mandate to produce a minimum of 20m tonnes a year

[5] Our government will compel every government department to purchase all their vehicles from indigenous supplier Innoson Motors with the aim of making it a major global player within the next five years

[6] We will set a compulsory target of generating, transmitting and distributing 50,000MW of power within the next five years

[7] This year, the government will begin the construction of six sea ports along Nigeria’s Atlantic coast, each with a minimum capacity of 1m twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU)

[8] We will mandate every state to raise it literacy rate to at least 80% over the next five years

[9] This government promises to connect every one of our 774 local government areas to a national rail network over the next five years

[10] We will send a bill to the National Assembly this year, making it illegal to export primary commodities without adding at least 50% value
