SUPER Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has embarked upon a tour of Europe visiting members of the national team to intimate them on his plans for the team as preparations begin for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Next month, Nigeria faces the Amavubi of Rwanda and the Warriors of Zimbabwe in two must-win World Cup qualifiers and the newly-appointed Chelle wants to get going with six points in the bag. He already has a list of invitees and to spur the players up, the coach is visiting them at the European club sides ahead of the opening of camp.
Over the last few days, Mr Chelle and his assistant Hedi Taboubi, visited some of their players at their European bases. They were at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Friday night to watch winger Moses Simon in action for Nantes in the club's Ligue One 2-0 victory over Brest in which Simon featured for 68 minutes.
Earlier, on, the duo had earlier visited England-based players Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Leicester City and Fulham respectively. They are now expected to visit more players at their respective bases next week.
Nigeria's Super Eagles will be away to Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali for a matchday five encounter on Friday, 21 March. Then, the three-time African champions will then host Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo four days later.
