Air Peace slashes prices on its Lagos to London route as the busy summer period looms

NIGERIAN airline Air Peace has cut the price of its Lagos to London flights to N600,000 ($392) as part of a major promotion campaign aimed at attracting more clientele as the busy summer period looms.

Since March last year, Air peace has been flying into Gatwick Airport in London from Lagos in what was a landmark victory for the Nigerian aviation industry. At the time, Air Peace was offering flights at just £672, which was about half of what Virgin charged, as its Lagos to London seats were going for about £1,292.

Now, according to Dr Ejike Ndiulo, the airline's head of corporate communications, Air Peace has decided to slash its prices further. He added that the airline’s passengers could enjoy up to N600,000 in savings when they connect to London from any Nigerian city.

Dr Ndiulo said that the airline was also making an exclusive one-free extra luggage offer and this promotion would last until March 31, with an extended travel period until April 15. According to Dr Ndiulo,  the airline also rewarded five lucky winners of a raffle draw at the Silverbird Man of the Year  Awards held on Sunday in Lagos.

He said that three winners won return economy tickets to any of Air Peace’s domestic destinations, while two won economy return tickets to London. Dr Ndiulo added that Dr Allen Onyema, the Air Peace chairman, emphasised the airline’s commitment to driving Nigeria’s socio-economic development through its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
