SUPER Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has published his list of 26 players who will prosecute the Unity Cup taking place in London later this month leaving out the last two African players of the year Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Between May 27 and 31, the Unity Cup returns to London after a 21 year absence, with Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago participating. Taking place at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium, the first semi final will involve the two Caribbean nations, while the Jollof derby follows the next day, with the final and third-place game to be played on May 31.
Ahead of the post-season competition, Mr Chelle made several shuffles, dropping some regulars while giving some new faces a chance to feature. For instance, Cyriel Dessers returns to the Super Eagles squad for the first time since March 2024, when he featured in a game against Ghana, scoring from the penalty spot.
