Our National Assembly should pass a Nigerian Investment Ambassadors Committee bill asking its members to join President Tinubu on all foreign investment trips with a mandate to raise at least $100bn annually. Its members should include:

Ayo Akinfe

[1] Hilda Bassey

[2] Tobi Amusan

[3] Chimamanda Adichie

[4] Nnamdi Kanu

[5] Victor Osimhen

[6] Asisat Oshoala

[7] Michelle Alozie

[8] Tiwa Savage

[9] Burna Boy

[10] Davido

Their brief should be very simple:

[1] Attract a minimum of $50bn a year in foreign direct investment

[2] Woo local investors to create at least 5m jobs annually

[3] Wage a war against unproductive dead capital that is lying all over Nigeria

[4] Attract Islamic finance getting investors to invest at least $20bn a year in Nigeria

[5] Meet with our evangelical churches and get them to invest their billions in the economy

[6] Try and lift national morale waging a war against negativity and hopelessness

[7] Entertain security units doing dangerous jobs in a bid to lift their spirits. Perform concerts for troops serving in Borno State for instance

[8] Visit areas that have been made secure by the Nigerian military to convince visitors that they are safe

[9] Make tourist appeals to international visitors in a bid to boost the sector

[10] Act as the poster boys and girls for the power industry as it seeks to get its act together
