Ayo Akinfe

[1] Nigeria will offer every child free tuition right up until the end of secondary school

[2] Nigeria will spend 15% of her gross domestic product (GDP) on education every year for the next decade

[3] State governments are obliged to provide free uniforms in all public primary and secondary schools

[4] All public schools are obliged to offer one free school meal for all state primary and secondary school pupils

[5] No primary school child should have to walk more than 1km to school

[6] Every single one of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas must have at least one technical or vocational school

[7] Private sector operators will be allowed to run primary and secondary schools provided they meet government guidelines published by the Federal Ministry of Education

[8] Every local government must appoint an education commissar to ensure national standards are met

[9] Over the next 10 years, every state must strive for 90% literacy rates
