Liverpool offer Napoli two strikers in exchange for Osimhen as striker joins teams mates in Morocco

ENGLISH Premier League giants Liverpool have offered Italian side Napoli two strikers in both Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez in exchange for Super Eagles front man Victor Osimhen in an audacious deal they hope to pull off.

During the last summer transfer window, Liverpool made some incredible purchases but apparently, the club is not yet done with its purchases. Despite buying Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for £125m, Liverpool are still looking to reinforce their forward line and see Osimhen as the man they need.

Osimhen is looking for a new club as his loan spell with Turkish giants Galatasaray will finish at the end of the season and he is reluctant to return to Naples. Earlier this year, Liverpool bought Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez too but the club is now willing to offload a few players to fund fresh purchases.

Striker Darwin Nunez has once again failed to impress this season and Liverpool now feel that the out-of-favour man could be used as a make-weight to land Osimhen. Liverpool want to get rid of Nunez and Chiesa anyway, so if they could solve their striker issue in the process by offering both players to Napoli.

Liverpool see this as a fair trade but Napoli are thought to want €20m on top of the two players, believing that Nunez is not worth what Liverpool value him at. Given the slight difference in positions, talks are expected to continue, with any or all of the three moves still a potential as separate transactions.

Agreeing a fee or swap could be the easy part, with a number of reports suggesting that Osimhen comes with significant wage demands. Osimhen is valued at €70m, according to Transfermarkt but given his pedigree as a world class striker, this is not a lot and a club of Liverpool's standing should have no problem affording that.

Osimhen is currently in Morocco with Nigeria's Super Eagles where he will in a World Cup play-off tournament this week. On Thursday, Nigeria will face Gabon in a semi final and then next Tuesday will face the winner of the other semi final between Cameroon and DR Congo in search of an inter-continental play-off place.
