NIGERIA-eligible striker Luca Koleosho has agreed a deal with French clubside Paris FC to join them from English Premier League side Burnley during the current January transfer window where he will link up with compatriot Moses Simon.
Koleosho, 21, is eligible to represent four countries at senior international level, including the US where he was born, Nigeria through his father and both Italy and Canada via his mother’s heritage. Currently on the books of Burnley, Koleosho was loaned out to Spanish side Espanyol and he will now terminate that deal in favour of a permanent move to France.
In the French capital, Koleosho will hook up with Simon, currently representing Nigeria at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Morocco. Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Paris FC and Burnley have agreed a permanent deal, bringing the talented attacker to France.
As things stand at international level, however, the Italian Football Federation are in pole position for Koleosho's services, with the player provisionally cap-tied to the four time world champions. To represent Nigeria, he will thus have to undergo an official switch through global footballing body Fifa.
Koleosho's minutes in La Liga have been limited this season, just 60 minutes across three brief appearances, most recently against Real Betis three months ago. Last season, Koleosho made 15 Premier League appearances for Burnley during the 2023/24 campaign, although the club got relegated that season.
