I think the Igwe of Ezema Olo, Ambassador Dr Lawerence Agubuzu should present President Tinubu with a Nnamdi Kanu Economic Plan that will create 10m jobs across the southeast

[1] This masterplan should involve the recreation of the economic reconstruction agency the Projects Development Institute (Proda) founded by Ukpabi Asika in 1971. Nnamdi Kanu should be released from prison immediately and asked to head it

[2] Then, the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) will transition into an economic body. This will involve it changing its name to Industrial and Productive Organisation of Brothers

[3] I would them give Nnamdi Kanu the task of creating 5m automobile-related jobs at Nnewi. Basically, make it our own Coventry or Michigan

[4] Nnamdi Kanu would also be tasked with creating 3m textile, clothing and fashion-related jobs in Aba and its environs

[5] Under this programme, Nnamdi would also be tasked with creating 1m pharmaceutical jobs in Orlu, attracting all the industrial giants to the city

[6] Like Asika's Proda, Nnamdi Kanu's agency would be tasked with the broad function of generating and catalysing industrialisation by carrying out industrial research from the laboratory stage to the pilot plant stage

[7] Funds will be raised to construct at least two technical vocational colleges in every local government area across the southeast geo-political zone

[8] Nnamdi Kanu would be asked to use his contacts with US lobbying firms too attract foreign direct investment into the southeast geo-political zone. His minimum target should be $10bn a year

[9] Like the Niger Delta Development Commission, Ipob will serve as an inter-state development agency building infrastructure, raising skilled manpower and offering scholarships to students. Nnamdi will be responsible for making sure this happens

[10] Ipob would be tasked with going round Nigeria and organising Igbo retailers into cooperatives. Every such cooperative must be given a 10-year goal of manufacturing the products it sells. Nnamdi must visit every single one of Nigeria’s 774 local government areas to galvanise and motivate our Igbo youth
