Chelsea and Wolves show an interest in Nigeria-eligible teenage striker Zebedee Kennedy

NIGERIA-eligible teenage striker Zebedee Kennedy is attracting interest from several English clubs who are looking to secure his services from Swedish side Mjallby ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

Swedish-born Zebedee, 16, who is eligible to play for both Nigeria and his country of birth, has been attracting a lot of attention lately following several eye-catching performances. According to Swedish transfer market website Fotbolltransfers, among the clubs looking him include Juventus, Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bologna and Benfica.

Zebedee comes from a footballing family, as his elder brother, Zion is currently on the books of Sölvesborgs GoIF, while his father represented clubs in Nigeria and Italy before hanging up his boots. Regarded as one of the top talents in Swedish football, Zebedee joined Mjallby last November, after spells with the youth teams of Moffe BK and GIF Sundsvall.

He has a contract with reigning Swedish champions  Mjallby until the end of the 2028 season. On the international stage, he has represented Sweden at U15 and U16 level, scoring four goals in 12 matches.

Kennedy was handed an opportunity with Mjallby's first team during pre-season, making a notable impression by finding the net in a friendly against Artis Brno. Although he has not made his debut in the Swedish league the Allsvenskan, he has already emerged as a highly sought-after prospect.
