[1] As from October 1 2026, the federal government will impose an indefinite ban on mosque construction across northern Nigeria. For at least an initial period of five years, all such funds go towards school construction
[2] Under this new law, the parents of any Almajiris or out-of-school kids can be jailed for a minimum of five years
[3] As from January 1 2027, the federal government will impose a 40% education tax on all mosques across northern Nigeria
[4] The EFCC is empowered to seize the private jets of all northern Nigerians and auction them off. Our federal government can then use the proceeds to build schools across northern Nigeria
[5] This new legislation will also reverse Sharia law so teachers are no longer afraid to go and work in northern Nigeria
[6] Every state in northern Nigeria is now compelled by law to build at least one technical college in each of its local government areas
[7] As from October 2026, there will be a 10-year moratorium on the turbaning of emirs. This will be reviewed after a decade, by which time the educational divide between the north and south of the country should have narrowed significantly
[8] Nigeria’s finance minister will set Islamic finance investment targets for all the governors of the 19 northern states. At the very least, every governor must attract a minimum of $1bn in investment annually
[9] To preserve foreign exchange for investment, there will be a 10 year moratorium on going for hajj pilgrimages. These savings will be invested in infrastructure and job creation
[10] Across every one of the 19 states of northern Nigeria, the federal government will open youth boot camps where anyone convicted of an offence is trained vocationally up to City & Guild level at the minimum
