MUSICIANS Tekno and Flavour survived a near-plane crash over the weekend when an aircraft flying them to Accra from Lagos developed a fault eight minutes into the trip and had to return to the Murtala Mohammed Airport.
Flying to Ghana for a show along with comedian Godwin Komone, popularly known as Gordons, the entertainers returned to Lagos unharmed. Revealing details of the incident on his Instagram page, Gordons said the flight to Accra from Lagos developed a fault shortly after take-off and the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing.
He added: “My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for what God did for me and my colleagues today. Help me praise him.
“God delivered me, Flavour, Tekno together with all their bandboys who flew with us from Lagos to Accra from a plane crash. Eight minutes into our flight, the pilot announced that the plane developed a fault, we had to return to Lagos. We were hopeful and prayerful and we landed safely, help us thank God Nigerians.”
They had been travelling to Ghana for the Glo Mega Music show, which held at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre, Accra on Saturday, August 25. Flavour and Tekno are yet to make official comment on the averted air mishap but it is believed they caught a later flight to Accra and they have since both posted their performances at the music concert on their social media pages.
