CHELSEA coach Maurizo Sarri has revealed that he will allow Victor Moses to revert back to his favoured role as a winger this season under the new 4-3-3 formation the team is currently playing.
Under previous manager Antonio Conte, Moses was converted into a wingback in his 3-5-2 formation but since the arrival of Sarri, the team has reverted to playing with a back four. Moses has not featured much in this new formation, having just managed to play 11 minutes of football this season in the English Premier League.
However, Sarri, who took over this summer, has revealed that Moses who recently retired from international football will play as a winger over the rest of the season. Apparently, Moses was unhappy with the wingback role Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr asked him to play and it is believed to have been one of the reasons why he quit international football.
Sarri said: "Moses has not played much because we changed the position in the pitch but now we are trying to let him to play like a winger. In the new position I think he needs to improve."
Meanwhile, former Flying Eagles midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh is highly tipped to feature for Bournemouth this season after a stellar period with the youth team last year. Already he has made the bench for the first team in its recent Carabao Cup 3-0 victory over MK Dons and manager Eddie Howe rates the player highly.
Mr Howe convinced the club's management to hand the talented midfielder a professional contract in December 2017 after watching him play with the youth team. Voted the club’s Young Player of the Year, Ofoborh played for the Nigerian U20 team in their two legged friendly game against Egypt earlier this year and made a good impression.
Later today, Bournemouth will face Leicester City at home and Ofoborh may likely make the bench. If he gets to see action, he will be up against compatriots Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, who are both due to feature for Leicester.
