Musa asks Moses to consider returning to Eagles saying the door will always remain open for him

SUPER Eagles striker Ahmed Musa has advised his former team mate Victor Moses to consider returning to the national team pointing out that the door will always remain open to him if ever he decides to return to the national team.

On August 15, Moses,27 announced his international retirement from international football, saying he now wants to focus on his club career and family. However, Super Eagles fans have asked him to give the decision another thought, with Bright Igboatu, the former chairman of Chelsea Fan Club Abakaliki branch, noting that Moses was misguided by thinking that retiring from the Eagles would make manager Maurizio Sarri field him more.

Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has left Moses out of the squad since he retired, deciding to respect his decision but with the team now having qualified for the African Cup of Nations, it has been suggested that the Chelsea winger consider a return. Musa, who captained Nigeria to a 1-1 draw away in South Africa that secured nations Cup qualification, said he still misses Moses in the Super Eagles’ squad.

Speaking ahead of Nigeria’s friendly match with Uganda, in Asaba tomorrow, Musa said: "If he wants to come back, the door is always open for him. For me I miss him very well.”

Moses won the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa during his time with the Super Eagles. This season, however, he has struggled to get into the Chelsea team and not playing international footballer either, he is not in the limelight.
