Isaac Success signs new four year deal with Watford that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2023

SUPER Eagles striker Isaac Success has signed a new five year contract with English Premier League side Watford that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2023 following his impressive form this season.

Success, 22, joined Watford from Spanish side Granada in July 2016 and has since gone on to make 35 appearances for the Hornets. He spent the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan to Malaga but this season has returned with a bang, scoring three goals in all competitions for Watford in the current campaign.

A strong target good with his back to goal and with a touch of pace too, Success has won four caps for Nigeria. This new deal is a sign the club see Success as a viable long-term option and suggests he will have an increasingly significant role to play at Vicarage Road in the coming years.

Watford chairman Scott Duxbury, said: "This is a just reward for Isaac's continued hard work and application this season. We look forward to seeing him develop further over the coming years."

It comes in the same week that Watford head coach Javi Gracia signed a new long-term deal to remain in charge of the club. Mr Gracia signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract on Wednesday.

So far this season, Success has scored in the Football League Cup win at Reading and also scored during the match against Tottenham Hotspur in the same competition in September. His first league goal of the season came in the 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in October as he has looked increasingly comfortable in the side.
