Following the death, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that all members of the singer’s domestic staff are currently in custody. Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, said preliminary investigations are currently ongoing to unravel what led to the boy’s death.
Mr Hundeyin added: “Domestic staff at Davido’a home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet. If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest."
Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its activities for the week as a result of the tragedy. Davido, is governor-elect Ademola Adeleke's nephew, who campaigned for him vigorously during elections.

Mr Akindele said: “We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the lord of the universe.
“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
