SUPER Eagles fullback Ola Aina is contemplating a return to the English Premier League next season due to the fact that his contract with Italian side Torino is set to expire and the club has nor presented him with any new offer.
Born and raised in London, Aina graduated from the Chelsea youth academy and made three Premier League appearances for the senior team all as a substitute, before moving to Torino in 2018. During the 2020/21 season, Aina, returned temporarily to the Premier League, featuring in 31 games for Fulham but the side were relegated at the end of the campaign, forcing the player to return to Italy.
Aina, 26, currently just has a few months left on his contract and the Bulls are yet to place a solid offer on the table Last summer, Aina was linked with a move to the Premier League, with West Ham and Fulham amongst his suitors but none of them materialised and he remained at Torino.
So far, Aina has had a decent season at Torino, featuring in 10 of the club's games and scoring once. According to the club's online portal Torinogranata, Torino has not entered into serious talks with Aina concerning a new contract and as such, he is free to leave when his contract expires in June.
Aina would most likely favour a return to the Premier League, as he was strongly linked with Fulham and West Ham at the start of the current season. Aside from his two-year stay at Torino, Aina has never played for any team outside England.
