AFROBEAT singer Kizz Daniel is on course to become the most successful Nigerian musician ever after his smash hit track Buga just recorded 100m views on YouTube making it the most downloaded song by a Nigerian ever.
Buga, which has caught the attention of both young and old in the country was released in May 2022 and recently got listed as the number one song in this year’s Google search by Nigerians. Taking to his Instagram page to celebrate this latest feat, the 28-year-old singer Kizz Daniel thanked his fans for their constant support.
He stated that this is his first 100 million views on content on YouTube, attributing the success to God’s grace. Kizz Daniel, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, has become such a global sensation with the track that he even performed at the World Cup and its unique dance style is attracting more fans by the day.
Mr Anidugbe said: “Celebrate your success, no matter the matter it attracts more than 100 million views in five months. Thank you l am grateful. This is my first 100 million views on content on YouTube and many more to come by His grace.”
According to Kizz Daniel, buga means to show off and to honour one’s hard effort, devotion and accomplishment. At the moment, the song is also the number one on Apple Music’s Top 100 Chart in Nigeria.
