Basketmouth announces separation from his wife Elsie bringing to an end 12 years of marriage

POPULAR Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha otherwise known as Basketmouth has announced the dissolution of his 12 year old marriage to his wife Elsie in what has been the latest collapse of a celebrity union.

In October, celebrated Elsie's 44th birthday with a lavish party, so the recent separation will come as a shock top most people who knew the couple. Basketmouth said the decision to go their separate ways was sequel to much deliberations between him and the wife.

He, however, promised that they would both continue to work together to ensure their children have desired parental love and care. Basketmouth said: “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.

“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.

“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you."
