West Ham join the ranks of English Premier League sides eyeing Terem Moffi this January

ENGLISH Premier League giants West Ham have joined Southampton and Aston Villa in the chase for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi as they are keen to sign him up during the forthcoming January transfer window.

Moffi has had a spectacular season for French side Lorient, scoring 10 goals in 16 appearances that has contributed to the club's fairytale run that has seen them make an early push at the summit of Ligue One. His displays have not gone unnoticed, as English Premier League sides Brighton, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace have all been keeping tabs on him.

It appears that the three clubs are not the only ones interested in the Nigerian striker, as West Ham have now joined the ranks of those looking to secure his services. West Ham have suffered a slow start to the season and part of their problems is scoring goals, so they need a striker urgently.

With David Motes, the West Ham manager facing the threat of the sack, perhaps, signing Moffi could help deliver goals and save his job. Lorient will demand at least €25m from suitors before they let go of their star man and West Ham will have no choice but to cough up, as they are now just hovering above the relegation zone.
