SUPER Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is poised to spend several weeks out injured again after picking up a knock in training during the week that kept him out of yesterday's league game against Brighton.
Ndidi, 25, was not included in Leicester City's match day squad yesterday that drew 2-2 at home with Brighton & Hove Albion at the King Power Stadium. It has now emerged that he picked up an injury in training and will be missing in action for a few weeks according to his manager Brendan Rodgers.
Leicester City reporter, Owynn Palmer-Atkins, said: “Brendan Rodgers tells me that Wilfred Ndidi has suffered a muscle strain in training and will be out for a couple of weeks.”
Of late, Ndidi had been very unfortunate with injuries, struggling to stay fit in recent times. Last season, the former Genk star missed the latter part of the campaign with a knee injury and so far this campaign has missed quite a few matches, featuring in only 16 games across all competitions for Leicester City.
