Our Eko Atlantic project is incomplete without the creation of an artificial island to serve as a holiday resort that will rival:

[8] Cape Verde 
[9] Mauritius 
[10] Corfu 

This island should be away from mainland Nigeria so will be immune from all our problems. Facilities it should have will ideally include:

[1] Airport 
[2] Sea port 
[3] Railway network 
[4] Five star hotel chains 
[5] Beach promenade 
[6] Beachfront restaurants
[7] Local police force 
[8] Own power supply 
[9] Totally devolved government 
[10] Local health service 

Imagine we call this holiday resort Balewa Island, the Balewa Island Local Government should be free to pass its own laws independent of the Lagos State government. In addition, if deemed fit, the Balewa Island Police Force should be free to fix a minimum monthly of N200,000 for its constables. 

Whoever becomes our next president needs to start suggesting such innovative programmes to state governors. It is the only way to end this parasitic dependence on crude oil!
