Inter Milan eye Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo as a summer transfer window transfer target

NIGERIA-eligible central defender Tosin Adarabioyo could be leaving English Premier League side Fulham at the end of the season as Italian giants Inter Milan are eyeing him as a possible replacement for Slovakian Milan Škriniar.

Already, French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG), have agreed a pre-contract with Škriniar ahead of the 2023/24 season, meaning Inter need to find a replacement. Adarabioyo, 25, was has been linked with moves to Inter Milan's rivals, Juventus and Napoli in the past,  is one of the centrebacks the  Series A side is looking at to replace Škriniar.

Originally, a Manchester City Academy product, Adarabioyo is tied to Fulham until June 30, 2024 after the club activated the option to extend his stay by an additional 12 months in January. However, despite the club extending his contract, his future at Craven Cottage is still shaky due to a lack of playing time.

During the current campaign, Adarabioyo has only started three of the last 12 games played by Fulham in the Premier League this season. Adarabioyo has seen his first team opportunities limited since October, prompting Monaco in particular to eye him as a potential replacement for  Benoît Badiashile who joined Chelsea recently.

Adarabioyo is a former England youth international who has represented the country on 14 occasions across the various age-group levels. This means that to play for Nigeria, he will have to go through a switch with global footballing body Fifa.

He was previously reported to have turned down an approach by the Nigeria Football Federation to represent the Super Eagles but opened the door to a potential call-up in 2020 when he expressed his desires of playing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with either England or Nigeria. Current Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has watched Adarabioyo once over the last month and may extend an invitation to him.
